Reb’ Shlomo Zalman

Szlomo Zalman from Wielopole, rabbi, founder of the Hasidic dynasty in Wielopole.

Buried in the New Jewish cemetery in Krakow, He was the son of Abraham from Pszczonów and a student of Meir from Opatów and Naftali Cwi from Ropczyce. He was the author of glosses to the work of Moshe Cordovery, Tomer Deworah (1587), and had the manuscript buried alongside him.

He died in Krakow. He is buried in the new Jewish cemetery at Miodowa Street.
