Reb’ Isaac Jekeles

Izaak Jakubowicz , (Ajzyk Jekeles) (died 1653 in Kazimierz ) – a Jewish banker, merchant , chairman of the Kazimierz Jewish community . In 1638 he founded the largest and richest synagogue in Kraków , which was later named after him.
